Berry in the Blossom

In the spring, the conditions came together to capture this photo of pekin bantam Berry. Berry sat still just long enough and gave me this brilliantly beady look. Photographing pets is an absolute joy and can lead to some truly beautiful, creative images. There's something so natural about this pretty feather-y girl sitting amongst the blossoms!

This photo has been accepted into the second stage of the B.I.P.P National Print Competition and so I'll be heading off to the Awards in November to see if she's a winner!

UPDATE: The Awards were fantastic even though 'Berry in the Blossom' missed out on an Award by 2% - the quality was exceptional so to be so close to a Award Certificate is still a great result.

A few phone photos from the Opening Night at my Nerine Exhibition at Sula Gallery - you can see some of the Nerine Prints on my Gardens page and there's a little article from the Guernsey Press on another blog.
